TEABAG BOOKS

My mother's birthday was yesterday, August 3rd, and she is now 100 years old. We are having a birthday celebration tomorrow, which  my daughter planned and has  mostly done herself, and the theme is  a tea party. She found the prettiest cups  and plates on Amazon, and it is going to be beautiful. I have been working on teabag books for 3 or 4 weeks, and I have done 52.

They are 3" x 3" and hold 1 teabag. They could also be made to hold 2 teabags, but we felt that 1 was enough. I might make some of these to give out at Christmas with 2 in each one. You can get Stash teabags in a wide variety of flavors on Amazon, and they are packaged really nicely. We used the fruit flavored ones.

It was a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. I hate to part with them really. Now it's time to get back to making cards.

STAMPIN' UP! SALE-A-BRATION SAMPLE

I am just starting to make cards with the free Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration products that I have received. So far I have gotten 2 sets of Designer Series Paper and 2 stamp sets, and I have more paper coming next week. I love Sale-A-Bration!

I have made two cards so far with the paper:

After taking many pictures, editing them, and then trying to post them, I have come to the conclusion that I am not going to get a good picture of this card. I wish you could see it in person because it is much prettier than this. My iPad used to take wonderful pictures, but now they are terrible, so hopefully when my IT guy gets back from Disney World he can help me, lol.
Stay tuned for more SAB samples. I will be posting more as the week goes on.
Happy Stamping,
Janis

I am so happy to be making valentines again! I am having a ball with the beautiful new stamps, dies, and paper that Stampin' Up! has in their new catalog. I have stamped and diecut a lot of flowers and hearts using two new sets, the Country Floral Lane Suite and the Two-Tone Flora Bundle. I have also put together some beautiful hearts using older sets and even one stamp set from many years ago. I had it in a bag to donate, but pulled it out when I realized I was getting ready to make valentines. That was a good decision!

Since today is Saturday I will be making more valentines tomorrow before getting back to the grind on Monday. Stay tuned for more! By the way, I know that last picture is pretty wonky. I may fix that tomorrow when I'm not so tired.

IT'S AUTUMN!

I have really been enjoying Stampin' Up!'s Split Card Texture dies. Combining them with Designer Series Paper gives a great look, and putting foil behind them is wonderful too. I will be showing samples with foil closer to Christmas.

This card was made using a technique that is very technically named shmooshing. There may be an official name for this, but I've never seen one. You just rub several ink pads on a nonstick mat, spray it with a little water, and shmoosh the cardstock in it. That is how I colored the leaves.

I have also been enjoying combining pumpkins with flowers, etc.

Be sure to come back for more Autumn offerings.

Happy Stamping,

Janis

More Halloween Samples

I am sharing some more Halloween samples today. Stampin' Up! has a monthly kit subscription called Paper Pumpkin, and the September kit was absolutely wonderful. It had 18 matchbox type treat boxes that you could decorate with the included embellishments or your own stamps, etc. I chose to use my own for two of the three styles of boxes, and those are the ones I am showing you today. I have used a combination of current and retired Stampin' Up! products, and a few stamps and dies from Pretty Pink Posh.

I had so much fun doing these!

Janis

MY NEW BLOG

So I am starting a new blog, which will be strictly for posting my  stamped creations. To get started, I hope you enjoy seeing these cute Halloween pockets. I don't usually do Halloween, but the last two years I have found such cute stamps that I am having a ball doing treat boxes, cards, treat bags, and other paper goodies. Most of the products that I use are from Stampin' Up!, but the cute little ghosts with bows and the jack o'lantern are from Pretty Pink Posh. So cute!

I love these pockets. Not only are they easy to make, but they are useful for holding money, gift cards, and treats, like lollipops or packets of cider or tea.

This pocket is easily made with the Mini Pocket Envelope die set from Stampin' Up! I also used the following current products:

Scary Cute Bundle (stamps and dies)
Cup of Tea Bundle (stamps and dies are so wonderful!)

Most of the other products are not currently available.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing these cuties, and will come back for more samples. I have a new facebook page and Instagram account just for my stamp samples titled Stamp Luvin', and I am planning to post new samples as often as possible. I would like to invite you to follow me here and on facebook and Instagram. My Instagram account is currently under the name Janis Morris, but will be retitled soon.

Happy Stamping,
